First Trip to the ER (at two weeks old)

Lincoln wouldn't keep his food down last week so we were sent to Children's Hospital for tests. I think I was much more traumatized by the entire process than he was! They stuck a tube up his nose that went down into his stomach so they could inject dye to watch how he was processing his food. Again, I was a mess watching him lay on that big x-ray table, so tiny and helpless. Shane found the entire thing to be fascinating of course. I told him he really should have been a radiologist- he can see things on x-ray and ultra sound machines that I just can't! Lincoln hated the tube up his nose and kept sneezing to try and get it out- again SO sad. THANK GOODNESS he just has terrible acid reflux and nothing is wrong with his intestines . . . which we were told 8 hours after checking in. Huge sigh of relief. Now, he just needs to keep his food down so he can gain some weight!

1 1/2 weeks old!

We can't believe Lincoln is already a week and a half old!! He's a good baby so far- very mellow, easy to comfort, eats pretty well and sleeps great!! We'll see how long those things last! :) It seems like he changes every day! And yes- he kind of has strawberry-blonde hair, depending on the light. We have no idea where that came from but we love it- it's as soft as a baby chick! And we love him so much!

lots of hair

My sweet grandma knitted this little cocoon for him. Too cute!

Pictures of my babies!

Just found these pictures that I took with my phone so they aren't very good quality but I thought they were cute. I can't believe how much Lincoln has already changed in just ONE week of life!

I love Jezelle's prechool teacher who always goes the extra mile to make the kids feel special, especially when there is something exciting to celebrate in their lives, like a new baby! This is Jezelle's 'big sister' crown that she got the week after Lincoln was born. They celebrated her becoming a big sister and made her feel so special.
