Lincoln's Story

This blog was originally created as a place where we could update and document our life with our precious little boy Lincoln. He had a partial deletion and duplication on chromosome 1 (more specifically 1q21.1). Doctors were never able to find a definite reason, explanation or specific syndrome for his challenges or developmental delays. Though life was not easy, we always felt so blessed to have this little guy in our lives. He brought absolute joy and happiness into each and every one of our days.

Lincoln passed away on March 10, 2012, just 9 days before his 2nd birthday. Again, no reason or explanation was found for his death. We believe he came to earth to receive a body and then returned home again to live with his Heavenly Father. He taught us more about life in those 23 months and 20 days then we could have taught him in our entire lifetime. We miss him more than words can say.

And so now we begin a new journey. A new life, where we have to somehow learn to live without him.
